Enrolled Families

Make Up Scheduler

THREE makes up classes (Fall,Winter, Spring) and TWO make ups (Summer) per registered child are allowed (but not guaranteed) each semester, on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning week two.  Make up's may be scheduled at all of our locations with the exception of the Children's Museum.  Do not wait until the end of a semester to schedule make up classes as the spaces are often taken.  Make up classes may not be carried forward to the next semester.

For your child's safety, class size is limited!

To avoid over-filling the classes, families need to schedule a make up online before attending; if the class you wish to attend does not appear in the scheduler, the make up spaces have been taken.  If you will be bringing two children, schedule a make up for each child as all children over 9 months of age need to be scheduled individually.  Need to miss or cancel your make up?  Please return to the make up scheduler and choose "cancel" (to credit the make up space back to the class and to your family for future use).   Use the following link to schedule your make up class:

Please note:  if your family has special circumstances and wishes to have an extra make up class, please notify our office.  If space is available, we will help schedule an additional make up class for your family.

Our Center Policies

Sick Child Policy

If your child is sick, please keep them home and schedule a make up class. As per the DHS regulations, keep your child home if your child:

  • temperature of 100 or more; please be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication (such as Tylenol or aspirin)
  • conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  • impetigo or other contagious skin rashes
  • diarrhea
  • vomiting
  • severe cold with fever, sneezing and nose drainage
  • any contagious disease
  • seems really sick without obvious symptoms.

If a child comes to class with visible symptoms of illness, we will kindly request that you let your child recover at home & not stay.  If your child suffers from non-contagious symptoms such as allergies, please bring a doctor's note to share with the teacher.  It is so important for families to feel safe in class.  Thank you for helping us keep our classes safe and fun for everyone!

Visitors

Adults & Older Children: We welcome grandparents, visiting relatives, and older siblings (age 8 and above) to join in making music with us. It is wonderful to have extra singing role models! Please let your visitors know ahead of time that the class is participation oriented. Older children are expected to participate in music-making.

Children (under age 8): For your child's safety, our class sizes are limited. Please do not bring extra children to class unless previously arranged. Visiting spots are available on a first-come first served basis.

Sibling visits:  When space is available, siblings are welcome to visit class one time at no charge. Two subsequent scheduled sibling visits are permitted at a rate of $10 per child. >Please reserve a spot for the visiting sibling using the Make-Up Scheduler. Select the class you would like to attend, fill out the form, and write “Sibling visit” in the last field and specify whether it is the first, second or third visit. Payment for the second and third visits will be collected by the teacher. We accept cash (exact change) or check (made out to “Music Together in Phoenix”).

Out-of-town families: Please call the office to discuss out-of town visitors (with children under age 8). There is a $15 visiting fee.

Transferring Classes / Withdrawals

Withdrawals:  A full refund can be granted if you've contacted the office about withdrawing a week prior to semester start date.  We understand that sometimes unexpected things happen, however, non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal from class.   We begin finalizing classes the week before a semester's start.  Therefore, if you request to withdraw the week before classes begin (and before your first class), we can issue a full credit toward an upcoming semester or a refund minus a $25 withdrawal fee.  No refunds are available after classes begin.

After the first day of classes, partial credits may be issued in the event of extreme emergency situations (for example, mandatory pregnancy bed rest or prolonged hospitalizations for more than 4 weeks) if communication has been timely and immediate.  Materials are not returnable once opened.

Transferring: Switching classes can not guaranteed; there is a $10 transfer fee to switch once classes have began (space allowing and not being detrimental to the existing class).  There are many educational benefits for children to have the continuity of musical community in their classes; we often see a child's comfort and trust level grow as they experience a similar group of familiar/safe faces each week. We do, however, understand that situations arise and you may need to request a transfer. This will be considered depending on availability and class size.
